Audience acclaim for our last production The Canterbury Tales:

“Last night was my first visit to see your Canterbury Tales.  I wish to thank you all for  a most wonderful evening’s entertainment.  So very very professional was the play and an enjoyment to savour. A very friendly atmosphere from stepping through the doors to leaving.  Well done to the cast “BRAVO”; again, many many thanks to you all.”

April 2007

In April 2007 our audeinces met up with the pilgrims on their way to Canterbury and this superb production certainly banished all notions of Geoffrey Chaucer being dull or unfathomable!

In the 14th Century, eight travellers journey to Canterbury Cathedral to visit the shrine of Thomas Beckett. On the way, to pass the time, and to win a free meal, they try to outdo each other telling fantastical stories of love, laughter, greed, virtue, lust, life and death.

This striking modern adaptation, by Lindsay Price, brought all the humour and verve of Geoffrey Chaucer's original to vivid life, with a small cast playing not only the pilgrims but also the colourful and varied characters in their stories. A quick-fire, rowdy and energetic play, performed in the round, took those lucky enough to be in the audience into the heart of the action.
