April / May 2012

The action for this hilarious farce takes place in the Prime Minister's office at 10 Downing Street.

The Chancellor is planning a severely puritanical Budget, taxing gambling, night clubs and even bingo halls out of existence. But when a young lady visitor turns out not to be the newspaper reporter the PM was expecting but the outcome of one of the indiscretions of his youth, things begin to get complicated. To make things worse, this young lady is a night club dancer who removes her clothes and refuses to leave until the budget proposals are dropped. Things go from bad to worse as the PM's wife ends up wearing the young lady's discarded dress believing it to be a birthday present from her husband. The final sting in the tail is that the young lady turns out to be not the illegitimate daughter of the PM but ..... can you guess?
